¡Feliz Navidad from the San Antonio River Walk!

SONY DSCA few days ago, I drove up to San Antonio to enjoy a Christmas party with team members from my “day job” as virtual marketing assistant.

It was worth the 3-hour drive from Port Aransas just to see these lights!

There were some reports that the San Antonio River Walk had less lights than last year, but I didn’t notice. It certainly looked colorful and beautiful. The food at the Iron Cactus was delicious as always.

After dinner, we went over to the Alamo and took some fun team photos in front of the historical landmark.

All in all, a fantastic visit. ¡Feliz Navidad!

My Dad announces sporting events for North East Independent School District in San Antonio.

This past Friday night, I got to help out as a “Spotter” during the Division 6A Madison vs. Warren high school football game at Comalander Stadium.

As Spotter, it was my job to report which player(s) made the tackle, intercepted the ball, scored the touchdown! The halftime shows by both marching bands, flags/color guard & spirit groups were spectacular & flawless.

The experience brought back a flood of wonderful memories, both as a Madison alumna & as a former Sports Editor for the “North San Antonio Times.”

PS – The Madison Mavericks won 27-3. Go Mavs!
